5 posts · Joined 2013. #5 · Aug 26, 2013 (Edited by Moderator) i can confirm there is definatley no beige mayonnaise gunk, loss of power or white smoke so sounds like oil cooler failure thanks for all advice the pictures i have show no sign what so ever under oil filler cap or in the head only black gunk stuff in the radiator coolant reservoir.

On the MK7 only the 1.6 has an airflow sensor, located in the air cleaner cover according the the Haynes manual. I know what you mean, according to the Haynes book on the 2003 only the diesel has a maf. But that doesn't explain why the OBD throws the maf P0103 code and it can be purchased for the 1.4 engine.
I also have a chain wrench for recalcitrant ones. its not a normal oil filter mate,,,its a plastic housing with a 27mm plastic nut built into the end,,,unscrews easy enough but the actual oil filter which sits inside of it is pushed in and plastic tabs clip over it inside,,,to get it out of the plastic housing without breaking the plastic tabs

Hi all just to let you know had a new ford fuel filter fitted when mechanic changed them over the non genuine filter seal was a bad fit very loose worse than the ford one! and seal was under the filter instead of on top to make a good seal, cars run great now no problems over a week now and 800 miles.Will fit a genuine every time now.

Yes it is at the front of the engine, just above the oil filter housing, remove the plastic undertray and you will be able to see it, if you look up, you will see 1 wire going to it.
